Hi, I’m Cath and I live in vibrant New Brighton on the Wirral with my husband and son. I also have two grown-up step children who I don’t get to see nearly enough!
Having been a school teacher for nearly 20 years, I had experienced more than my share of stressful situations and, more importantly, I had seen so many others struggling to deal with stress and anxiety. These were not just fellow teachers but also parents and, most alarmingly, children. I made the decision to leave classroom teaching and train as a mindfulness and meditation teacher.
I completed my qualification with Mindfulness Now, which is a programme based on MBSR and MBCT and decided to further my training with Skillful Mind. I recently set up a small business, ‘Find Your Calm’, and have started to run mindfulness classes for different groups of people. I have worked with parent groups and family groups as well as conducting 1:1 sessions and I plan to continue this, expanding into other community groups and running online classes to reach as many people as possible.
I have benefitted greatly, for some years now, from having my own daily mindfulness and meditation practice and I really want to share my experience and enthusiasm with others. I really believe that the world would be a better place if everyone practised meditation!
