My original career path originated when I studied A level computer science in the late 1970s, leading me into the world of software programming and IT and culminated in my being a Database Administrator until 2005. During that time I had a career break and spent 11 years as a full-time Mum to three children and it was towards the end of that period when I began searching for ‘something’ that I started using guided visualisations – my first foray into meditation.

In 2003 I began my Reiki journey and my meditation practice began to deepen. I also began my training in Crystal Therapy and the workshops I attended always included a guided meditation. I became a Reiki Master Teacher in 2005 and gained an ICGT Diploma in Crystal Therapy in 2010.

Following my departure from the computer industry in 2005 I became a tutor for Coleg Gwent in the field of IT from 2005 to 2015 and became qualified, gaining my PGCE in 2008. 

In 2012 I was a student in the pilot group for a new course, Meditation Teacher Diploma, delivered by the British School of Meditation which I successfully completed and added another string to my bow, alongside complementary therapy qualifications including Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, Holistic Massage, Aromatherapy Massage.

I am now the Principal of Dreamstone Holistics – Therapies & Training and an experienced tutor, therapist and Reiki Master Teacher offering a range of therapies, courses and workshops from the lovely setting of St Hilda’s Church Hall in Griffithstown
