Having over 8 years of a dedicated meditation practice, Matthew’s experience with meditation began with Centering Prayer in the tradition of Fr. Thomas Keating and influenced by the writings of Fr. Thomas Merton.
As his personal practice of meditation grew and matured, continued research and practice lead him to Vipassana meditation in the Thai forest Buddhist tradition of Ajahn Chah.
Through the process of working in a hospital wellness center as a massage therapist, learning about Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, as taught by Jon Kabat-Zinn, was the moment he realised that the benefits of meditaiton can be experienced by everyone in an easily understandable and achievable format.
